The spa comes to you, in Albufeira

Albufeira is beach from sunrise to sunset. In the Old Town, Praia dos Pescadores and Praia do Peneco sit a few steps from the whitewashed streets, and heading east come Oura, Santa Eulália, Olhos de Água and the long sweep of Praia da Falésia. In summer the streets and car parks fill up. Rather than look for a spa in the middle of it all, have the massage at your holiday home, with a professional table, hot towels, linens and hypoallergenic oils.

Stays in Albufeira range from holiday apartments and complexes with a shared pool to villas around Balaia, Galé and Salgados. In the Old Town the streets are steep, with steps, and some buildings have no lift, so tell us your floor when you book. In complexes with a reception, give us the complex name and your apartment number. Around the Marina, the colourful blocks are easier to reach. A living room or bedroom with some clear space is all we need.

Many families book in the late afternoon, once the children are out of the pool and the heat eases, or early in the morning before the beach. In July and August, booking ahead secures the time you want. Outside peak season, same-day booking with 4 hours' notice is easy. We book every day from 7am to 10pm, with every session finishing by 10pm.

After a day of beach, water sports or the clifftop walk between Falésia and Olhos de Água, sports massage is the usual choice. To properly rest, Swedish massage is the most requested. If you are pregnant, pre-natal massage is offered from the second trimester, lying on your side with supporting cushions. Two people in the same apartment can book a couples massage, one after the other or at the same time.
